PL Series DC Drive

PL-Series drive firmware versions 5.11 (and later) are supported by the savvy software tools in either drive.web or serial mode.

• drive.web Limitations (dw1101, dw111)

  Limited Import Capabilities

  Firmware versions 5.11 & 5.12 do not support the import of parameters 2)Rated Armature Current and 4)Rated Field Current. For these versions of firmware, PIN's 2 & 4 must be set through the front panel of the drive after an Import Device Data... command. Complete support added to firmware Versions 5.14 (and later).

• Serial Limitations (RS232)

  Limited Import Capabilities

  Not all parameters are writable via the Port 1 connection (see PL-Series Serial Limitations for a listing). These parameters must be set through the front panel of the drive after an Import Device Data... command.

Optidrive Plus AC Drive

For savvy support of the Optidrive Plus, the following is required:

• The model number must end in a -M (Modbus RTU option)
• The firmware must be version 2.20 (or later)

The firmware version may be confirmed in the front panel of the drive by checking parameters P0-28 and P0-29.

Yaskawa AC Drive

For savvy support of the Yaskawa F7, the U1-14 parameter must report a flash ID greater than 3000.

The RS422 port on the F7 must be converted to two-wire RS485 for use with the drive.web products by installing two separate jumpers (see diagram below).

E-Series AC Drive (Legacy Product)

Firmware versions 4.x are supported by the savvy software tools in either the drive.web or serial mode.
